At Experience Liberia, we’re committed to making your tour or voluntourism journey easy to plan and stress-free to book. That starts with clear, upfront payment options and a flexible approach to currencies.

When booking your adventure with us, you can choose to make payments in US Dollars (USD), British Pounds (GBP), Euros (EUR), or South African Rand (ZAR)—whichever is most convenient for you. Once we confirm your quote and currency, your price is locked in and won’t change, regardless of currency fluctuations. This gives you complete control and peace of mind.

🏁 How to Pay Your Deposit

Your deposit depends on when you’re traveling:

  • More than 10 weeks before travel?
    → Pay only a deposit at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due at least 10 weeks before your departure date.
  • Traveling within 10 weeks of booking?
    → The full cost of your trip must be paid upfront when confirming your booking.

💵 Deposit Amount

For trips priced in US Dollars, your deposit is typically 20% of the total trip cost, with a minimum of US $900 per person.

💰 How to Pay Your Deposit

We offer a variety of secure payment methods to suit your preference and location:

  1. Direct Bank Transfer (Recommended)
  • Transfer US Dollars directly to our secure USD account based in New York.
  • Bank transfer details will be provided through your secure client portal.
  • Always confirm bank details with an Experience Liberia team member before proceeding.
  • Please cover any bank fees on your end to ensure we receive the full deposit amount.
  1. Online Credit/Debit Card Payment
  • Use the Loginarea on our website to access your private booking pages.
  • Authorize payment via Visa or MasterCard.
  • Note: Some card providers charge a foreign transaction fee (typically 3%) if your card is not billed in USD. We recommend checking with your provider before payment.

⚠️ Some banks may charge an additional commission (up to 4%) for processing international card payments. For that reason, bank transfer is often the more cost-effective option.

  1. Cashier’s Checks
  • Issued by your bank in US Dollars.
  • An additional $40 must be included to cover bank processing fees on our side.
  • Send earlyat least 14 weeks before travel, as clearance may take up to four weeks.
  1. Personal Checks (U.S. Residents Only)
  • Accepted only if received 18 weeks or morebefore your travel date.
  • Personal checks can take up to eight weeks to clear.
  • Not accepted for last-minute or short-notice bookings (under 18 weeks before travel).

📩 Paying Your Balance

After your deposit is received, you will receive full payment instructions for settling your remaining balance. We recommend bank transfers for final balance payments due to lower fees and faster processing.
